Meet Cheryl A. Harner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Cheryl has been working with individuals and families both in their homes and in the office setting for the past 20 years.  She graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and then worked for both Wernersville State Hospital and Norristown State Hospital.  Following that, Cheryl worked for Montgomery County Children and Youth Services where she provided both general protective services to families and adoption services to children and prospective adoptive parents.  Cheryl then pursued additional studies at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Masters of Social Work Degree from the School of Social Work; additionally, Cheryl completeed the Applied Behavior Analysis Program through Penn State and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 

Working with families to strengthen communication and connections, as well as helping families cope with parenting special-needs children has essentially been the focus of Cheryl's work over the years.  Cheryl has experience working with children who are diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Depression and Anxiety.  Cheryl also works with adults to provide supportive counseling in helping them develop improved coping skills and problem-solving techniques, as well as improving the management of issues related to Mood Disorders and drug and alcohol additions recovery.
